Winterfest Sip, Savor & Stroll

January 16, 2010 - 12pm to 4pm

Wander around charming historical downtown Chelan while tasting spectacular local wines, mouthwatering food from local chefs and watch talented sculptors bring their ice masterpieces to life.  This event combines cool wines, savory treats, talented artisans, crisp winter air and good company to create warm and wonderful memories of winter in Lake Chelan.  Meet Steve Roberts, author of the WineTrials series at Riverwalk Books during the Winterfest Wine Walk 1-3pm. He will be happy to talk about all things wine and sign a book or two.

Getting Started

Check in at Black Dog Frames, on the corner of Emerson Street and Woodin Avenue, January 16th.  If you have purchased your tickets online, you will need to show a valid ID and you are set.  If you need to purchase tickets, show your valid photo ID and purchase your Wine Walk ticket for $30.  You will receive a wine glass and a wine tasting notes booklet filled with great offers from the wineries.  Enjoy up to 15 wine tastings and appetizers at select locations.

Benson Vineyards - A family operated estate winery located on 28 scenic acres overlooking beautiful Lake Chelan.  Visit our friendly tasting room to experience wines produced from grapes grown in the Lake Chelan AVA.  Offering tastings at Lake Chelan Sports.

Four Lakes - Stop by our Manson tasting room to enjoy sweeping view of the four lakes:  Wapato, Roses, Dry and Lake Chelan.  We look forward to sharing our award-winning wines and our hallmark "Trinity" with you!  Offering tastings at Lulu Boutique.

Karma Vineyards - Tour the wine cave, enjoy lunch or dinner with special selections by our celebrated local chef, and sample a distinct selection of estate wines and Northwest ales.  Karma Vineyards & Cave, located on Chelan's South Shore, is the region's first producer of methode champenoise.  Offering tastings at Main Street Gallery.

Lake Chelan Winery - Located in the last privately owned apple packing shed in the Valley, Lake Chelan Winery features estate wine, an expansive gift shop and vineyard and winery tours.  The friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through the ultimate winery experience.  Offering tastings at Whaley's General Store.

Nefarious Cellars - A couple of reds, a couple of whites.  Just a chick, three guys and a dog striving to blow your mind.  Take a drive through our vineyard, climb the tiny slope; you'll like what you find at the top, love what you try... and most definitely buy.  Offering tastings at Black Dog Frames.

Rio Vista Wines - Discover the wonders of Rio Vista, the only waterfront winery in the Chelan region.  Explore the vineyards, rustic beach hut, landscaped grounds and art gallery.  Offering tastings at Columbia Furniture.

Tsillan Cellars Winery & Vineyards - Tsillan Cellars is committed to being one of the Northwest's premier estate white wine producers.  The estate's Italian architecture and landscaping features have received acclaim in many regional and national magazines.  Enjoy a view overlooking 35 acres of award-winning vines located on the South Shore of Lake Chelan.  Offering tastings at Willow.

Tickets 

Tickets can be purchased online or at the Lake Chelan Chamber of commerce until Friday, January 15, 2010.  Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event at the Wine Walk Check-In, located at Black Dog Frames, on the corner of Emerson Avenue and Woodin Avenue.

• Wine Walk tickets are $30 per person and include 1 wine glass, 15 wine tastings, 3 appetizer tastings and 1 wine tasting notes booklet.
• No refunds.
• All sales are final.
• Each participant must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid photo ID before receiving a wine glass and tasting booklet.
• One person can not pick-up glasses for others. Each participant will have a wristband attached as proof of legal drinking age by a Wine Walk representative.
• Wine must be consumed within the designated business responsible for pouring. Drinking outside of the designated business is prohibited by law.
• Parking is available at one of the public lots indicated on our parking map.
