Lake Chelan Winterfest

Lake Chelan Winterfest Fire & Ice, an event hosted by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and presented by The Historical Downtown Chelan Association, celebrates the magic of the snowy winter season at Lake Chelan.  During the Martin Luther King holiday weekend, the charming community of Lake Chelan is transformed into a winter paradise.  Visitors will marvel as ice sculptures come to life, relax in a sleigh ride through our historic downtown Chelan, warm up around a giant bonfire and be dazzled by the magic of fireworks.

	Ice    Talented ice sculptors from the Pacific Northwest come to Lake Chelan and transform our charming community in to an outodoor ice paradise. Make sure to arrive early on Friday as the sculptors begin to bring their 2,400 pounds of ice to life.  The process continues on Saturday as the Sculptors complete their sculptures late Saturday afternoon.   Take a stroll to Don Morse Park where you can take part in the snow games or test your skills on the ice skating rink - all overlooking beautiful Lake Chelan.    Saturday evening, brave souls will take a dip in to the glacier fed waters of Lake Chelan in the annual Polar Bear Splash.  Luckily, when they exit the water, there is a massive beach bonfire to keep them warm!
	Fire   Participate or watch the Winterfest Torchlight Parade as it progresses through historic downtown Chelan.  After the Parade, follow the crowd as everyone strolls over to Don Morse Park to warm up by the bonfire and be dazzled by the fireworks.   The beach bonfire is an annual tradition at Winterfest.   The bonfire is built from the community’s Christmas trees and is truly a site to see and experience.   As you warm up by the bonfire, you’ll be treated to a spectacular fireworks show only yards away!  An incredible memory that will be sure to bring you back year after year.
	Wine   Wander around charming historical downtown Chelan while tasting spectacular local wines, mouthwatering food from local chefs and watch talented sculptors bring their ice masterpieces to life.  The Winterfest Wine Walk combines cool wines, talented artisans, crisp winter air and good company to create warm and wonderful memories of winter in Lake Chelan.   Pick your night - they are all amazing.  Three nights of undeniably romantic wine maker dinner's, set in the stunning settings of the wineries barrel rooms.  Four-course meals, wines unavailable elsewhere, fireworks, music and the company of the winemaker's - make for a perfect wine weekend.   Finish off your weekend with a champagne brunch in the cave of Karma Vineyard.  A perfect way to end a perfect weekend.
